E8 MarketsX Trading Platform guide

In this guide, we will show you how to easily manage the E8 MarketsX Trading Platform and how to use some of its unique features created for the most demanding traders.

How to place a trade

  1. Select instrument

2. Select the Order Type

3. Select the number of contracts

4. Execute an order

Join Bid and Join Ask

  • When you join bid, you are opening an order limit for buy for the current bid price

When you use a regular market buy, you will open a buy position at the current ask price

  • When you join Ask, you are opening an order limit for sell for the current ask price

When you use a regular market sell, you will open a sell position at the current bid price

Flatten all vs Cancel All

Flatten all button will close all open positions and pending orders

Cancel all button will close all pending orders

Reverse position

Reverse position will close all open positions of the selected instrument on your Chart and open the opposite position

How to set your take profit/stop loss (risk and profit parameters)

When you go to your risk settings, you can set up your risk and profit for each trade.

When you automatically applies risk/profit brackets to a new position, you do not have to worry about setting your risk parameters for every single trade.

Manual Lock-out

Manual lock-out works like traders' protective tool against excessive trading on the account. Users can choose the duration for which the account will remain locked.

Once locked out, any open positions or working orders will be automatically flattened/canceled, and any copy-traded follower positions will be exited. You will not be able to trade on this account for the selected lockout period.
